Five accounts. The screenshots, not the summary.

Search Console exports from real accounts, with the date range on every one. Including the two where a headline metric moved the wrong way, and why that was still growth.

The Work

What the accounts actually did

Every figure below is read off the chart beside it. Clients are described by industry and market rather than named, because the traffic data is theirs.

Click-through rate held at 1.5% while impressions grew fifteenfold. Holding CTR steady through growth that size is the harder half: it means the new reach was relevant rather than noise. The collection pages were rebuilt around buyer-intent terms rather than product names, which is why the #1s above are all things people actually shop for.

A 9.6% click-through rate at an average position of 11.8 is the number worth looking at. Position 11.8 is normally page two. Earning that rate from there means the listings themselves are doing the work. Most of the #1 rankings here are brand-plus-city terms, which is exactly what a multi-location business should own first and the reason they are not listed individually above.

Average position went the wrong way here, from 12.6 to 20.5, and clicks still quadrupled. Read the second chart for why: the account started appearing for far more searches than before, and a wider set of rankings pulls the average down even as every one of them adds traffic. The point of the work was ranking for what people search when they do not know the brand, which is what the two #1s above are.

Auto glass repair and replacement

$789Traffic value / month

This one is included because it is unfinished. Both lines climb from a standing start in January, and the site now sits at position 7.8 across 159,000 impressions. But 0.3% CTR at that position means the titles and descriptions are losing clicks that have already been won. That is the next job, and it is a far cheaper one than ranking. The keywords above are a content hub built in three months, sitting at 4 and 5 and climbing.

$214Traffic value / month

Average position improved by twelve places while CTR fell from 1.2% to 0.5%. That is not a contradiction. Impressions grew fifteenfold and clicks sevenfold, so the account is now visible for a much wider set of searches, including plenty with weaker intent. Six months in, one keyword has reached the top 3 and the service pages are climbing.

Reading The Charts

What these numbers mean, and what they do not

Two of the accounts above have a metric that looks like a loss and is not. If you are comparing agencies on screenshots, this is the part worth knowing.

Average position going up is not always bad

It is an average across every search you appear for. Start ranking for three hundred terms you were invisible on and the average drops, even though every one of them is new traffic. The volleyball account above went from 12.6 to 20.5 and quadrupled its clicks in the same window.

CTR falling while clicks rise is usually growth

The flooring account went from 1.2% to 0.5%. It also went from 40 clicks to 288. Impressions grew faster than clicks because the account reached into broader searches, and broad searches convert to clicks less often. Falling CTR is only a problem when impressions are flat.

Impressions without clicks is a copy problem, not a ranking problem

The auto glass account sits at position 7.8 with 159,000 impressions and a 0.3% click-through rate. The hard part is already done. Rewriting titles and descriptions is days of work, not months, and it is the highest-return thing on that account right now.

Traffic value is an estimate, not revenue

Semrush's traffic value is what that organic traffic would cost to buy in Google Ads. It is a useful way to size the asset. It is not money in the bank, and neither is any other number on this page. Search Console reports search performance, not what it was worth.

FAQs

About these results

Because their traffic data is theirs, not ours. The screenshots are cropped to the metrics and the chart, which removes the property name and the domain, and each account is described by industry and market instead. Ask on a call and we will introduce you to a client directly where they are happy to speak.

Cropped, and nothing else. No numbers are retyped, no periods are cherry-picked inside a chart, and the date range is stated under every one. Two of the five have a headline metric that moved the wrong way, and they are still here with the explanation attached.

They do not say either way, and neither does anybody else's traffic chart. Search Console reports search performance only. What that traffic was worth depends on the offer, the site and the sales process, and measuring it means analytics and call tracking, not this report.

The date range under each chart is the answer. The six-month comparisons are six months. The volleyball account moved in three. Nothing here happened in a fortnight, and anyone promising that is selling you something else.
